Job Duties
- Prepares cooking items
- reports to work well-groomed, in clean and proper uniform, practices good personal hygiene
- uses, maintains and cleans all kitchen equipment and preparation areas
- stocks and rotates products to ensure shelf life compliance
- has knowledge of recipes, menu items and prep procedures
- prepares items according to guest requests and standards
- controls food cost
- ensures correct portioning and adherence to recipes
- utilizes FIFO standards
- maintains cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas and storage
- follows safety procedures and food handling policies
- conducts line sweeps and cleans as you go
- understands OSHA and health department regulations
- cleans all equipment as directed
- anticipates and corrects system breakdowns
- communicates with management regarding issues
- assists team members and front of house staff
- supports dishwasher with washing and stocking
- provides guest service cooperation with front of house staff
