Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No previous baking experience required but a willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to stand and walk extensively up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Good vision and clear communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
- Must comply with food safety and OSHA standards

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items according to Perkins standards and specifications
- Label and date all trays of baked items
- Observe proper food storage procedures
- Set up and maintain the display cases using proper merchandising techniques
- Follow proper sanitation procedures in the kitchen and storage areas
- Clean and sanitize bakery cases, equipment, pans, and utensils
- Utilize FIFO (first in first out) standards when preparing items
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, coolers, and storage
- Follow safety procedures concerning food handling and storage
- Communicate with the Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding product, service, and safety issues
- Assist front of house staff with the cleanliness of bakery cases
- Assist dishwasher with washing and restocking dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Perform line sweeps and clean as you go throughout the shift
- Preps items according to recipes and procedures
- Anticipate, identify, and correct system breakdowns for guest satisfaction
