The Resource Operations & Planning Program Manager position is a key role within Stanford Health Care, designed to oversee and enhance the organization’s resource management and workforce planning strategies. This is a 6-month fixed term, full-time contract role located on-site at Stanford Health Care. The role emphasizes driving operational excellence by managing employee onboarding, resource scheduling, training coordination, staffing models, and resource allocation. The program manager serves as a critical partner to department leaders, enabling agility in scaling staffing levels to meet dynamic operational demands and aligning workforce plans with broader organizational objectives. Starting pay for this position generally ranges from $59.21 to $78.43 per hour, with the final salary depending on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.

In this role, the Resource Ops & Planning Program Manager will lead day-to-day execution of workforce planning initiatives, ensuring staffing needs are fulfilled promptly while maintaining compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies. Key responsibilities encompass developing and maintaining workforce capacity plans using data analytics, productivity metrics, and burnout indicators to forecast talent needs and identify staffing gaps. Additionally, the manager will coordinate onboarding schedules and training programs to provide a consistent, inclusive, and excellent employee experience anchored in the CICARE principles, which foster compassionate, patient-centered interactions. The role involves continuous improvement efforts to optimize resource utilization, enhance operational workflows, and improve training effectiveness. Collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, and department leaders is essential to align workforce planning efforts with the strategic priorities of the organization. The program manager will also design dashboards and reporting tools to provide leadership with real-time insights into staffing, retention, utilization, and operational performance metrics.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in operations, staffing, workforce planning, or program management, along with a strong analytical skill set and an operational excellence mindset. Experience managing onboarding and training programs is preferred, with a high level of attention to detail within compliance-driven environments. Candidates with a background in staffing operations, capacity planning, or centralized operations, as well as knowledge of workforce planning software and supply chain principles, will be highly competitive. The position requires the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
