The role of Resort Services Coordinator at Park Hyatt Aviara is an opportunity to be part of this luxury hospitality experience, delivering outstanding service to guests and enhancing their stay through personalized attention and expert knowledge of the resort's offerings. This position primarily involves managing reservations and resort services via phone and email correspondence, ensuring guests receive courteous, efficient, and professional assistance at every touchpoint. The Coordinator acts as the key contact for guests seeking to maximize their experience at the resort, providing detailed information about hotel amenities such as pool and cabana rentals, spa services, golf opportunities, dining options, group and convention services, and local attractions like the nearby zoo and flower fields.

In this dynamic position, attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and strong computer skills are essential. Coordinators are expected to react swiftly and thoughtfully to guest service needs, identifying opportunities for service recovery and taking ownership of these issues with the support of leadership. A pleasant demeanor and excellent communication skills, including a polished phone presence, are critical for success. The Resort Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that guest interactions before, during, and after their stay meet Hyatt's high standards for luxury service.

Compensation for this hourly role is set at $24.00, reflecting the level of professionalism and expertise required. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service or hospitality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Windows
  • Strong typing skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be flexible to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and a pleasant demeanor
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience within luxury 5 star hotel and/or Hyatt hotels and resorts in roles delivering outstanding guest experiences in reservations, front office, spa and/or food and beverage
  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera, Reserve, HotSOS, Zingle, Open Table, Infrasys or Micros, Book4Time, Alice (Go Concierge)
  • Minimum one year of customer interaction experience within hotels and/or food and beverage
  • Excellent mathematical, written, spoken, technical and computer skills
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with thorough follow-up
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications
  • Highly responsible, reliable and able to create trust with guests
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-starter with capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide knowledgeable information about resort and area offerings including hotel reservations, pool and cabanas, spa, golf, restaurants, groups, conventions and local attractions
  • Deliver professional, personalized and engaging luxury service
  • Complete in-room dining (room service orders) with anticipatory service
  • Respond quickly to guest service opportunities and recovery, logging and notifying appropriate areas and managing recovery with leadership support
  • Answer incoming calls to the resort with excellent phone demeanor and typing skills
  • Correspond professionally with guests before, during and after their stay
  • Communicate effectively with staff to meet guest needs and promote community spirit
