Job Description
Sundance Resort, situated in a breathtaking mountain environment, is renowned for its dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the land while providing upscale lodging and a variety of recreational opportunities. This resort operates year-round and is deeply committed to environmental stewardship and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Guests frequent Sundance not only to enjoy its luxurious amenities but also to immerse themselves in the rich cultural and artistic environment that the resort fosters. From elegant dining to outdoor activities like mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking, Sundance offers a comprehensive range of experiences tailored to every visitor's desires. Given its commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction, the resort maintains a staff that exemplifies professionalism, knowledge, and a passion for service.
The role of the Sundance Concierge is pivotal in crafting seamless, personalized experiences for both lodging and day guests. This part-time, year-round position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 and requires flexibility to work shifts primarily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including variable days throughout the week, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak occupancy periods. As a concierge, you will act as the trusted guide and primary point of contact, assisting guests with dining, activities, transportation, and event reservations. Your responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, sharing insightful knowledge about the resort’s offerings and environment, and anticipating guest needs to elevate their entire stay.
Working at the concierge desk, you will be entrusted with creating detailed guest profiles, managing pre-arrival communications, and curating tailored itineraries. This entails coordinating logistics such as transportation services, booking special activities like spa treatments or outdoor excursions, and arranging amenities delivery. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and an ability to multitask efficiently, especially during periods of high guest volume.
The ideal candidate is technologically savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office, internet navigation, various booking systems like Stay N Touch, Fareharbor, and Tock, and comfortable using two-way radios for internal communication. Sound interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you serve as a welcoming face of the resort and a source of knowledgeable recommendations about activities not just within Sundance but also in nearby locations like Park City and Salt Lake City. By sharing the resort's story, focusing on sustainability and land preservation, and delivering exceptional guest service, the concierge plays a critical role in enhancing the guest experience and building lasting guest relationships.
The position offers numerous benefits including employee discounts on dining and resort amenities, opportunities for professional training and career development, a supportive and collaborative team environment, and a season pass to enjoy resort activities. Sundance Resort is a dynamic workplace that values adaptability, creativity in problem-solving, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of service. This role is well-suited for individuals passionate about hospitality, motivated by guest interaction, and eager to contribute to a unique and inspiring environment.
