The role of Seasonal Resort Bartender at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is vital in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to resort guests. As a seasonal bartender, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, informing them about specials, conducting menu and beverage tours, recommending drinks, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. You will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area while adhering to responsible alcohol service policies to protect both guests and the resort. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a bartender's license to work in this position
  • Prior restaurant, bartender, or lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue is a must
  • State or local law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a bartender's license to work in this position
  • Prior restaurant, bartender, or lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue is a must and/or background in the service industry is a plus
  • State or local law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness/safety class as well as state-certified proper food handling certification

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
  • Greet guests immediately, inform them of specials, provide menu and beverage tours, and recommend items/drinks you genuinely feel guests will enjoy and advise on menu changes
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in the point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar
  • Maintain bar area including keeping the bar top/counters and well area neat and organized, ashtrays emptied and wiped out, dirty cocktail glasses removed, washed and sterilized
  • any napkins, coasters, straws or discarded garnishes cleaned up
  • Be aware of guests' rate of consumption of alcohol and its effect and take immediate corrective action to help the guest as well as to protect the interest of Kalahari Resorts and its associates
