Thrive Behavioral Health is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic serving Kent County, Rhode Island. The Residential Treatment Worker role at Thrive Behavioral Health focuses on providing direct service and supervision to residents living in a group home setting, specifically catering to individuals with long-term mental illness. This position, based in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, is integral in ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents. The worker is responsible for supervising daily living skills, offering education and training in essential social and life skills, and coordinating access to medical, dental, and psychiatric care. This job requires maintaining detailed clinical documentation, managing medication compliance, and providing crisis intervention when necessary. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in the Human Service field preferred
  • Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job

Job Duties

  • Supervise residents and provide a safe and comfortable environment
  • Provide intensive education, training and modeling in basic living skills and social skills including shopping within a budget and understanding the difference between "want" vs. "needs"
  • Coordinate and monitor medical, dental and psychiatric services
  • Supervise medication compliance
  • Produce, complete and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations
  • Provide crisis intervention and basic behavioral program implementation
  • Transport clients
  • Review e-mail account daily for new messages
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics
