Job Description
Flatiron Build Co is a rapidly expanding residential remodeling company originally based in Denver, now launching operations in Orange County, California. Specializing in high-end residential remodeling, the company focuses on kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, whole-home remodels, light structural work, and small additions. The firm combines strong construction fundamentals with a modern operating system that includes structured sales, accurate estimating, advanced project management software, 3D design tools, AI-supported workflows, and a premium customer experience. Flatiron Build Co prides itself on operating with efficiency and professionalism while delivering top-tier remodeling services to discerning homeowners. The company is committed to growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction, which positions it uniquely in the competitive residential remodeling market of Orange County.
The role offered is a full-time position based in Orange County, CA, centered around Irvine, with projects spanning from San Clemente to Long Beach and east toward Fullerton. The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $105,000 to $120,000, performance-based bonuses, and profit-sharing opportunities, with the potential to exceed $200,000 as the market scales. This opportunity is designed for a proactive, growth-minded professional to join as a residential remodeling operator responsible for launching, building, and leading the new Orange County market alongside the company founder.
This position goes beyond the scope of a traditional project manager role. The ideal candidate is a seasoned residential remodeling expert—whether a senior project manager, operations manager, licensed general contractor, or construction leader—who desires a leadership role with significant autonomy and upside. The candidate will be instrumental in establishing local processes, building a subcontractor and vendor network, supporting sales consultations and estimating, and leading project delivery. As the market grows, this role evolves into overseeing the Orange County team, managing client experiences, maintaining operational performance, and scaling the business.
Initially, the candidate will collaborate closely with the founder, participating in sales, estimating, and early project launches. They will manage client relationships, execute remodeling projects from pre-construction to completion, ensure quality control, manage schedules and budgets, and handle subcontractor coordination. The role requires the use of project management tools like JobTread to maintain transparency and organization. The candidate must be a skilled communicator, problem solver, and adaptable operator who thrives in a systems-driven, growth-focused environment.
Flatiron Build Co offers structured training and corporate career development, including the possibility of initial onboarding with the Denver team to learn the company’s sales process, estimating approach, project management systems, client experience standards, subcontractor coordination, and overall operating model. This comprehensive training ensures the candidate can confidently step into the Orange County market with full support.
Working on high-end residential projects, the candidate will engage in remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, whole homes, and small light structural additions. This is not a commercial or new construction role but a specialized residential remodeling opportunity aimed at delivering exceptional customer experiences in occupied homes.
Flatiron Build Co seeks a candidate who is operator-minded, communicator-focused, and execution-driven, with a strong commitment to systems improvement and customer satisfaction. The company values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and ensuring selection decisions are based on job-relevant factors.
