Job Description
Flatiron Build Co is a dynamic and rapidly expanding residential remodeling company that originated in Denver and is now launching its operations in Orange County, California. Specializing in high-end residential remodeling projects, the company’s expertise spans kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home remodels, light structural work, and small additions. The company stands out by integrating strong construction fundamentals with modern, technology-driven operating systems that include structured sales processes, clear estimating protocols, advanced project management software, 3D design tools, AI-supported workflows, and a premium customer experience. This innovative approach positions Flatiron Build Co as a leader in the residential remodeling sector, particularly catering to discerning homeowners seeking superior quality and professionalism in their home improvement projects.
The Orange County market launch represents an exciting growth phase for Flatiron Build Co, with operations centered around Irvine and projects spanning from San Clemente to Long Beach and east toward Fullerton. The company is actively seeking a full-time Residential Remodeling Operator to join their team with a competitive base salary ranging between $105,000 and $120,000, complemented by performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing opportunities. The total earnings potential for this role exceeds $200,000 as the market scales, making it a highly lucrative opportunity for growth-oriented professionals. This role is not just a project manager position; it is a unique chance for a seasoned professional to lead the charge in carving out and growing a new market.
The Residential Remodeling Operator will collaborate closely with the company’s founder to build and lead the Orange County operations. This role emphasizes autonomy and leadership, requiring someone with a strong background in residential remodeling, including managing high-end projects and working effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Responsibilities will include launching the Orange County location, supporting early sales efforts, estimating and proposal development, managing projects from inception through completion, and establishing local operating processes, standards, and expectations. As the market matures, the successful candidate will transition into a leadership role overseeing the local team, client experience, project execution, and overall operational performance.
Candidates who excel in this role will be adaptable, systems-minded, and enthusiastic about growth. They must combine hands-on construction experience with sharp communication skills and a commitment to delivering a premium client experience. In addition to managing project schedules, budgets, and scopes, they will use advanced project management tools like JobTread to maintain transparency and organization. This is a hands-on role that requires wearing multiple hats initially, including participating in sales consultations, client discovery, and on-site project management. This role also offers a comprehensive training program, including an initial onboarding phase with the Denver team to learn the company’s unique sales process, estimating approach, project management software, client standards, subcontractor coordination, operating model, and technology stack. Training is designed to provide the new operator with the clarity, confidence, and support needed to thrive in the Orange County market.
Flatiron Build Co values growth-minded leaders who bring construction knowledge, customer care, and operational discipline to the table. This position suits individuals who want to grow beyond traditional project management and embrace the entrepreneurial challenge of building and leading a thriving market in a fast-growing company. With a strong commitment to diversity and equal opportunity, Flatiron Build Co ensures a supportive and inclusive work environment where all qualified applicants have equal chances based on merit.
