The role of Residential Porter is a key position within the Residences Department at Mandarin Oriental, Boston. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service to residents by managing incoming packages and assisting with various resident requests to ensure a seamless and smooth living experience. The Residential Porter acts as a pivotal point of contact, greeting and assisting residents, visitors, and vendors with warmth and professionalism. This position requires effective collaboration within the Residences team, working closely with the Residential Manager and colleagues to deliver timely and courteous service. The Residential Porter also supports multiple operational facets of the residences, from handling and delivering mail, groceries, dry cleaning, flowers, and other packages, to assisting in coordinating residents' specific needs.

This position demands a high level of reliability, physical capability to handle packages weighing up to 100 pounds, and excellent communication skills to maintain clear and polite interactions with residents and staff alike. Multitasking is crucial, as the Porter frequently manages multiple requests and deliveries simultaneously, ensuring that all operations run smoothly without delays. Fluency in English is essential, with multilingual skills being a preferred asset to better accommodate the diverse resident population.   • previous experience in a porter or similar role preferred
  • ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • ability to lift 100 lbs occasionally
  • excellent communication skills
