We are currently seeking a Residential Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. This is a part-time or full-time position with a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour, and the opportunity to work an AM shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, new employees are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus distributed incrementally throughout the first year of employment. Our open interview sessions are held every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., offering prospective candidates a convenient way to explore this exciting opportunity.

The Residential Housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall comfort of our senior living community. This role involves cleaning residential units, office spaces, and public areas in a professional manner, ensuring all environments are hygienic and pleasant for residents and staff alike. Responsibilities include performing scheduled cleaning tasks such as carpet care, window washing, making or changing beds, and responding promptly and appropriately to any maintenance or safety concerns discovered during cleaning. The role also involves special cleaning tasks that may be requested by residents or supervisors. This position demands a strong attention to detail, the ability to use cleaning equipment and products safely according to guidelines, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe, orderly environment.

Job Requirements

  • Able to pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references
  • Compliance with residential care facility regulations
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently during shift
  • Availability to work an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift
  • Willingness to perform cleaning tasks safely and effectively
  • Must demonstrate professionalism in conduct and appearance
  • Ability to engage positively with seniors and staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in a residential or hospitality setting preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment operation
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending

Job Duties

  • Cleans scheduled residential units and/or office space and public areas in a proper and professional manner
  • Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition
  • Identifies and reports the need for repairs and unsafe conditions
  • Uses cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and per instructions
  • Performs special cleaning tasks as instructed by supervisor
  • Cleans interior and exterior windows on a scheduled basis
  • Uses carpet-cleaning equipment and performs carpet care
  • Makes and/or changes resident beds as scheduled
