Job Requirements
- Able to pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references
- Compliance with residential care facility regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently during shift
- Availability to work an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift
- Willingness to perform cleaning tasks safely and effectively
- Must demonstrate professionalism in conduct and appearance
- Ability to engage positively with seniors and staff
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in a residential or hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment operation
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending
Job Duties
- Cleans scheduled residential units and/or office space and public areas in a proper and professional manner
- Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition
- Identifies and reports the need for repairs and unsafe conditions
- Uses cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and per instructions
- Performs special cleaning tasks as instructed by supervisor
- Cleans interior and exterior windows on a scheduled basis
- Uses carpet-cleaning equipment and performs carpet care
- Makes and/or changes resident beds as scheduled
