Job Requirements

  • Able to pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references
  • Compliance with residential care facility regulations
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently during shift
  • Availability to work an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift
  • Willingness to perform cleaning tasks safely and effectively
  • Must demonstrate professionalism in conduct and appearance
  • Ability to engage positively with seniors and staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in a residential or hospitality setting preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment operation
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending

Job Duties

  • Cleans scheduled residential units and/or office space and public areas in a proper and professional manner
  • Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly and sanitary condition
  • Identifies and reports the need for repairs and unsafe conditions
  • Uses cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and per instructions
  • Performs special cleaning tasks as instructed by supervisor
  • Cleans interior and exterior windows on a scheduled basis
  • Uses carpet-cleaning equipment and performs carpet care
  • Makes and/or changes resident beds as scheduled
