The Residential Concierge role in New York City offers an exciting opportunity to join this reputable firm by providing frontline support and fostering a safe, welcoming environment for residents and their guests. The Concierge/Lobby Attendant is primarily responsible for front desk operations, controlling access to the property, and safeguarding both people and assets. This position plays a critical role as the face of the property, greeting all residents warmly and announcing guests promptly. It involves managing resident services such as handling packages and coordinating dry cleaning acceptance and retrieval, ensuring convenience and satisfaction.
Beyond resident interaction, the Concierge is expected to adhere to established front desk procedures meticulously. This includes completing incident reports for management and responding appropriately to emergency situations, demonstrating sound judgment and a professional demeanor at all times. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a citizen or a legal resident alien
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing with staff
- Capable of performing duties in a professional manner and to write necessary incident reports
- Make independent good judgment decisions within proper policy or procedure
- Must be able to work mornings, afternoons and weekends
- Able to perform physical activities such as lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Maintain clean and presentable uniform
- No use of personal electronic devices while on post
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
- Capable of performing duties in a professional manner including writing incident reports
- Ability to make independent good judgment decisions within proper policy or procedure
- Previous experience in customer service or front desk role preferred
Job Duties
- Greet and acknowledge all residents and announce all guests
- Provide resident services including package handling and dry cleaning acceptance and retrieval
- Adhere to all front desk procedures including completing incident reports for management and responding to emergency situations
- Ensure resident and guest concerns are resolved professionally and timely
- Stand and greet everyone who approaches the property or desk during the length of the shift
- Maintain a complete, clean and presentable uniform at all times
- Do not use personal electronic devices while on post
