We are currently seeking full-time Residential Bakers to join our campus team immediately. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods including breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and pastries, ensuring they meet established recipes and production standards. Residential Bakers are vital in supporting the daily operational needs of campus food services by working collaboratively to meet production goals and deliver quality products that satisfy students, faculty, and staff. Shifts for this position are flexible and may vary, requiring open availability including weekends to accommodate operational demands.

Job Requirements

  • Prior baking experience required
  • Open availability including weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to handle and prepare food items safely
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team and customers

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior baking experience required
  • Ability to follow recipes and production specifications
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
  • Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and production standards
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • Handle food items with safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
  • Complete shift work timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards
