We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Monitors at the Edison Job Corps Center. This full-time position involves working 8-hour shifts with a variable schedule to effectively oversee the residential floors where students live. As a Residential Monitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students by enforcing the Center's rules and regulations, promoting positive behavior, and encouraging character development. Your interactions with students will significantly impact their growth and success, as you assist in creating a nurturing and structured atmosphere.
The role requires careful monitoring of student activity, including patrolling dormitories to ensure safety and order. You will also assist with recreational activities both on and off the Center, promoting engagement and well-being among students. In addition to supervision and support, you will be responsible for documenting student behavior and any incidents promptly and accurately. Handling emergencies such as injuries, illnesses, and emotional challenges compassionately and effectively will be part of your vital duties. Job Duties
- Patrol and monitor dormitories to ensure safety and proper behavior of students
- assist with recreational activities for students on and off center
- direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of dormitory
- promote, support, and positive customer service through the facility
- participate in student employability program and activities
- document student activity and incidences
- provide prompt assistance in case of injury, illness, or emotional distress
