The organization hiring for this role is focused on providing resident services within apartment communities. This specific position reports to the Resident Services Manager and is a part-time role requiring 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday between 1pm and 5pm. The primary responsibility of this role is to market, plan, and implement resident service programs at assigned apartment communities. The incumbent is expected to maintain professional, collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including property management teams, community agencies, contracted service providers, and residents. A critical part of the role involves understanding the resident base demographics, their needs, and the support services available in the local market to tailor programs accordingly.
The role demands strong interpersonal communication skills and an innovative mindset to increase resident participation in community programming. The candidate will utilize basic computer skills and design platforms such as Photoshop, Canva, or Printshop to develop promotional materials. Organizing events that enhance community engagement and provide exposure to valuable resources is a significant part of the job. Additionally, accountability and adaptability are crucial, as the role involves administrative duties, problem-solving, and following through on resident issues promptly and ethically. The role requires in-person presence at housing sites and includes physical demands such as walking, standing, climbing stairs, and handling materials up to 25 pounds.
Ideal candidates possess some relevant work or volunteer experience and preferably hold a bachelor’s degree or some college education in early childhood education, social work, or a related human services field. The position requires a clean driving record, successful completion of a national criminal background check with fingerprint scans, and at least two years of acceptable work history. Compensation varies based on location and applicant pool, with specific details discussed during the interview process. Job Qualifications
