Job Description

The hiring establishment is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents at various apartment communities through effective resident services programs. This organization specializes in providing supportive services that foster a sense of community, self-empowerment, and access to local and federal resources for residents. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, and innovation, the organization works closely with property management teams, community agencies, and contracted service providers to ensure that resident service programs are not only well-planned but also executed in alignment with regulatory agreements and organizational goals. The company values accountability, creativity, and proactive engagement, striving to meet the diverse needs of its resident base within the market boundaries of each property it serves.

The role available is a part-time Resident Services Coordinator position reporting directly to the Resident Services Manager. This role is scheduled for 16 to 17 hours per week, spread across four days, typically from 1pm to 5pm. Primarily, the Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for marketing, planning, and implementing resident service programs at assigned apartment communities. The role requires an individual who can balance innovation with accountability while maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders, including property management, residents, and service providers. The coordinator is expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of the resident demographics, current resident services, and available support systems within the community. This understanding is essential to tailor programs that effectively address the residents' needs and promote community engagement.

Key competencies include creativity in marketing and event planning, interpersonal communication skills to engage with residents and property teams effectively, and a collaborative mindset to integrate feedback and work cooperatively with management and other team members. The position also demands adaptability and accountability to meet the expectations of residents and deliver high-quality service outcomes. This role requires significant physical presence in housing sites and involves activities such as organizing events, preparing promotional materials, and on-site resident interaction, which may include walking, standing, and handling materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Ideal candidates possess some work or volunteer experience related to human services, preferably supported by college education or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, or a related field. Candidates must have a clean driving record, pass a national criminal background check including fingerprinting, and demonstrate at least two years of acceptable work history. Compensation is variable depending on the location and applicant pool, with the exact location(s) to be discussed during the interview process. This position contributes significantly to the success of the organization by supporting resident well-being through thoughtfully designed service programming and strong community partnerships.
