The concierge position at FirstService Residential plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of luxury and customer service expected by residents. As a concierge, the individual serves as the first point of contact for residents and guests, offering assistance that ranges from managing reservations and transportation to offering local expertise and resolving issues promptly. Developing relationships with local businesses and VIP contacts is essential to accommodate special requests and provide personalized recommendations. The concierge must be warm and approachable, yet maintain professional boundaries, ensuring confidentiality and discretion at all times.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20 to $21, along with comprehensive benefits including multiple medical plan options, dental, vision, paid holidays, time off benefits, and a 401k plan with company match. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • degree in hospitality management or business administration strongly desired
  • minimum of one year of high-end luxury hospitality or property management experience preferred
  • fluency in one or more foreign languages is a plus
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organization skills with ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities while remaining composed and professional
  • friendly, courteous, service-oriented attitude
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining discretion and confidentiality
  • team player with strong work ethic
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and information system hardware and software
  • ability to type at least 30 words per minute

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates superior customer service at all times and a genuine desire to serve
  • warmly greets and directs residents and guests arriving to or departing from the property
  • maintains an active presence at the front desk including monitoring and announcing visitors and controlling access
  • handles all concierge duties with enthusiasm including processing mail and packages, making recommendations and arrangements for transportation, restaurant reservations, personal shopping, health and beauty services, cultural events, travel and meeting planning, and coordinating community-specific services
  • possesses in-depth knowledge of local attractions, nightlife, and special services to enhance the residential living experience
  • maintains familiarity with all community amenities and activities and provides directions
  • adheres to front desk procedures including daily activity reports and incident reports, and responds to emergency situations
  • ensures resolution of resident and guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • maintains a professional demeanor and polished appearance at all times
  • assists in training of concierge staff
  • follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment
  • performs other job-related duties as directed
