The Resident Services Coordinator position at Amira Choice of Roseville plays a vital role in supporting the nursing department with a wide range of administrative responsibilities. This role is designed to ensure the smooth operation of nursing staffing schedules and to maintain communication and record-keeping accuracy within the department. The Resident Services Coordinator will manage an 80-hour work schedule per pay period, primarily during day shifts, including responsibilities for staffing on-call rotations and rotating Manager on Duty (MOD) weekends. This role requires a proactive and organized professional who can handle various administrative tasks such as scheduling, communication of staffing changes, attendance tracking, and assisting the Director of Health Services (DHS) in numerous operational tasks.
Beyond staffing coordination, the Resident Services Coordinator is instrumental in maintaining educational compliance records, coordinating new employee training, and managing important documentation related to payroll, billing, and accounts. Additional duties include supporting communication efforts with residents, organizing care conferences, maintaining resident directories, and assisting with marketing activities such as providing tours for prospective residents. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year relevant experience
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- ability to communicate effectively
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work independently and in a team
- previous experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- One to three years experience
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- vocational or technical training or associate degree preferred
- previous experience with Eldermark and Educare preferred
- health unit coordinator training preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain nursing staffing schedule for community
- update master nursing schedules as needed
- communicate staffing schedule changes
- communicate to Director of Health Services open blocks and positions
- post the daily schedule in a common area
- determine PPL eligibility and approve or deny based on community policy
- determine staffing needs and open shifts
- communicate open shifts and take steps to fill shifts promptly
- approve or deny employee schedule trades
- notify Director of Health Services of status changes and schedule change requests
- document attendance and tardiness reports
- participate in on-call staffing rotation
- coordinate administrative functions
- assist Director of Health Services with payroll (E-Time) for nursing department employees
- assist in tracking education compliance and documentation
- assist with scheduling new employee interviews
- assist with new hire paperwork and personnel file setup
- coordinate training and maintain records
- coordinate new employee training
- enter and review training records
- assign annual Educare training
- review Educare compliance and report issues
- assist with billing, accounts receivable and payable
- enter charges for miscellaneous services
- ensure paperwork for long term care insurance plans is completed
- assist with processing deposits and accounts payable
- confirm services audits and charges for accuracy
- coordinate resident communication
- schedule care conferences
- maintain resident directories
- coordinate on-site provider services
- assist with resident correspondence
- provide marketing support and tours for prospective residents
