Job Description
Pacific Housing Inc. (PHI) is a reputable organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and supportive services to residents across multiple communities in California, including Folsom, Rancho Cordova, and Roseville. PHI is committed to improving the quality of life for its residents, offering not only affordable living spaces but also resident service programs designed to promote community engagement, self-empowerment, and access to local and federal resources. The organization fosters a supportive and collaborative environment where innovation and accountability are highly valued to ensure excellent service delivery and resident satisfaction. PHI emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvements in its programming to meet the diverse needs of its resident base while complying with regulatory agreements and organizational standards.
This part-time role offers 20-27 hours per week, predominantly scheduled during afternoon hours, making it ideal for candidates seeking flexible working arrangements while contributing meaningful work within assigned apartment communities. Reporting directly to the Resident Services Manager, the Resident Services Coordinator is primarily responsible for the marketing, planning, and implementation of resident service programs. These programs aim to foster an engaging and supportive community environment while ensuring full compliance with stated program objectives. The coordinator’s role is to bridge communication and collaboration between multiple stakeholders, including site property management, community agencies, contracted service providers, PHI staff, and residents.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, creativity, and flexibility, playing a key role in boosting resident participation and delivering high-quality services. Using a variety of communication methods including spoken, written, and visual formats, the coordinator will develop event materials, manage program logistics, and follow through on resident feedback and concerns. The position requires a proactive, innovative, and collaborative mindset, with a focus on adapting programming to meet evolving resident needs while overcoming obstacles and delivering successful outcomes.
Physical presence is a critical component of the job, requiring the coordinator to visit housing sites regularly. Work activities may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stair climbing, as well as handling program materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Candidates should possess some experience in human services fields such as social work or early childhood education and be capable of clearing a national criminal background check and maintaining a clean DMV record. Compensation varies based on location and applicant qualifications, with the exact salary details discussed during the interview process. This opportunity represents a significant step for individuals committed to making a difference in community housing services and engaging residents in programs that enhance their living experiences.
