Founded in 1993 by Bob Faith and headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, Greystar has grown to become the largest operator of apartments in the United States, managing over one million units and beds around the world. The role of the Resident Services Coordinator at Greystar offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the resident experience in a stabilized, mid-rise property consisting of 342 units. This role requires a dynamic individual adept at delivering excellent customer service to prospective tenants, current residents, and property staff by leveraging detailed knowledge of the property’s functions and amenities. The Resident Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming environment by coordinating resident activities and events that promote a high quality of living. The position also involves various administrative and operational duties such as assisting new residents with orientation, aiding in utility setup, managing package deliveries, and providing timely follow-up to resident requests and concerns.

This position is scheduled with weekend work required and offers a workweek schedule with Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday off. Eligible candidates should have one to two years of relevant experience and will benefit from an hourly wage ranging from $25.96 to $27.00, depending on location and qualifications, with potential eligibility for incentive-based bonuses. Additional compensation packages include opportunities to participate in quarterly or annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance for corporate roles, or weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonuses for onsite property positions.

The Resident Services Coordinator is expected to be a multifunctional team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of handling resident issues ranging from maintenance concerns to neighbor disputes and ensuring that all interactions enhance resident satisfaction. They will manage scheduling and contracts for community amenities like activity centers or clubhouses and provide additional resident services such as guest suite preparation and amenities lending. The role also entails regular maintenance coordination, including work order processing and follow-ups to confirm resident satisfaction. Safety inspections and cleanliness monitoring of the building and grounds are critical components of the position to ensure adherence to company standards. These responsibilities require the incumbent to have physical endurance and flexibility, including the ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in varying weather conditions, with the occasional need for travel to support other properties or attend training.

Working at Greystar means joining an employer committed to equal opportunity and supportive of diversity, offering a robust set of benefits such as competitive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, generous paid time off policies, onsite housing discounts, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid parental leave, and unique offerings like a 6-week paid sabbatical after ten years of service. These advantages, combined with the role’s meaningful impact on resident satisfaction and community well-being, make this an attractive career opportunity within a global leader in real estate management.
