Job Description

E80 Group is a multinational company specializing in the development of automated and integrated intralogistics solutions tailored for manufacturers of consumer goods in various sectors, including beverage, food, tissue, and more. Their expertise lies in producing advanced systems such as palletizing robots, laser-guided vehicles, robotic stretch wrappers and labelers, and automated high-density warehouses. This innovative approach streamlines the entire logistics flow, which is centrally managed by their proprietary SM.I.LE80 software platform (Smart Integrated Logistics). This platform ensures efficient system integration and optimizes operational management from raw material entry, through storage, all the way to shipping. With 14 branches worldwide, E80 Group firmly upholds its core values: Ethics, Courage, Humility, and Safety. These principles are deeply embedded within the corporate culture, fostering close relationships with customers, employees, and local communities globally.

The Resident Operational Engineer at E80 Group plays an essential role in driving customer satisfaction by managing and coordinating the daily, weekly, and monthly activities necessary to maintain, operate, and support the E80 systems and equipment within dedicated customer plants. This role requires a hands-on approach, with approximately 50% of the time spent working directly on system equipment and the remaining 50% devoted to supervising and coordinating with both E80 staff and customer personnel. The engineer will be assigned either to a specific customer plant or a group of plants and will serve as the primary contact for customer service-related concerns.

Key responsibilities include interacting with customers to address asset and system performance, managing ticket resolution, overseeing spare parts inventory, and ensuring timely communication between the customer and E80 back-office support teams. Additionally, the engineer organizes technological update sessions to keep customer personnel informed about new E80 technologies and participates in operational and management meetings with client staff. Management of technical resources, materials, and tools for various field services and projects is another critical function, alongside scheduling maintenance and retrofit activities to ensure optimal resource utilization.

The role demands proficiency in performance monitoring and reporting to identify and resolve inefficiencies. The Resident Operational Engineer continuously seeks process improvements for enhanced productivity, ensures strict compliance with regulations and company policies, and advocates for customer needs within the organization. Safety is paramount, requiring the engineer to implement all necessary precautions and perform advanced electrical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on E80 machinery where needed. This role offers a unique blend of technical challenge, customer engagement, and leadership opportunities, designed for professionals passionate about technology, service, and operational excellence. Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, paid time off, and a 401(k) match. Located in Phoenix, AZ, this role promises career growth supported by ongoing training programs through the E80 World Academy and a dynamic, collaborative culture known as #BE80.
