The role of District Manager at Aramark Student Nutrition is a high-impact leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple locations within a large and geographically complex district, typically managing operations generating $20 million or more in annual revenue. Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited institution per the USDA guidelines
  • Multi-unit/multi-site leadership in contract food management or large scale food service operations
  • Ability to demonstrate Aramark’s value to clients, customers, and employees
  • Strong financial acumen in a Profit/Loss environment across multiple units/sites
  • Experience leading large teams to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Focus on growth of new business and retention of current business
  • Leadership skills with accountability for operational management and financial performance

Job Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution per USDA guidelines
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in K12/Student Nutrition environment preferred
  • Proven leadership experience including P&L responsibility within food and beverage industries over 5-10 years
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with broad knowledge of management practices and client/consumer interaction
  • Ability to hire, assess, develop, and grow talent
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven success in repeatable business models including change and turnaround initiatives
  • Advanced degree in business or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Establish overall ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of multiple accounts and units
  • Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality, and service excellence for employees, clients, and consumers
  • Coach and mentor employees by crafting a shared understanding of goals and performance expectations
  • Plan and lead team management meetings
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations
  • Establish and maintain effective client and customer relationships for mutual business benefit
  • Build revenue and manage budgets with sensitivity to costs and client needs
  • Provide oversight to deliver client and company financial targets
  • Lead managers in implementing and maintaining corporate labor and financial initiatives
  • Ensure value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • Ensure consistent application of operating standards and processes
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and wage-hour policies and regulations
