The Portfolio Group under the Workplace Experience Group umbrella at Aramark is dedicated to delivering a signature suite of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each business portfolio. The team is focused on building partnerships that excel by breaking the mold with convenience, consistency, and excellence. The District Manager position within this group is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple units within a geographic district that generates between $12 million and $30 million or more in revenue. This role demands a strategic thinker who can provide vision, planning, direction, and control to ensure operational success.
District Managers at Aramark are accountable for executing the company's General Management program, which includes driving growth, managing costs, enhancing productivity, leading people, and achieving financial commitments. The role requires frequent travel to various client sites throughout the district to maintain strong relationships and supervise operations. Key success factors for this role include achieving revenue growth, improving EBIT and margin, enhancing consumer satisfaction, fostering client loyalty, and boosting employee engagement.
The District Manager leads by example in establishing overall ownership and accountability for operational management and financial performance across multiple accounts and units. They model key leadership behaviors to ensure the highest levels of safety, quality, and service excellence for employees, clients, and consumers. This manager coaches and mentors employees, rewards and recognizes hard work, identifies top talent, and engages in their development to maximize team potential. They plan and lead team meetings to align goals with business priorities while ensuring safety and sanitation standards are rigorously maintained.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, District Managers manage client relationships to foster mutually beneficial business partnerships. They identify client needs, communicate progress, understand contractual obligations, and drive new business and retention activities. They also oversee financial performance by building revenue, managing budgets, completing and maintaining profit and loss statements, and educating teams about margin improvements. Productivity initiatives involve leading managers to implement corporate management agendas focused on labor and financial efficiency, ensuring operations align with Aramark's rigorous operating standards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-10 years of leadership experience including P&L responsibility
- Experience in hospitality, retail, facilities, direct store delivery or food and beverage industries
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to develop and grow talent
- Understanding of contractual requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven success in repeatable business models
- Willingness to travel frequently as required
Job Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience of 5-10 years including P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership skills with knowledge of management practices and business judgement
- Ability to hire, assess, develop and grow talent
- Comfortable understanding and implementing contractual requirements
- Established communication and teamwork skills at all organizational levels
- Proven success leading through change and turnaround initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
