The role of the District Manager at Aramark Student Nutrition is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple units within a large and geographically complex district that typically generates over $20 million in revenue. Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution per USDA guidelines
  • Experience in multi-unit/multi-site leadership within contract food management or large-scale food service operations
  • Strong financial acumen with Profit and Loss management across multiple sites
  • Ability to lead large teams and deliver exceptional experiences
  • Focus on growth of new and current business
  • Ability to establish operational management and financial accountability
  • Skills in coaching, mentoring, and developing employees
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards and compliance with policies and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution per USDA guidelines
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in K12/Student Nutrition environment preferred
  • Proven leadership experience with 5-10 years including P&L responsibility in food and beverage industries
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with knowledge of management practices, business judgment, and client interaction
  • Ability to hire, assess, develop, and grow talent
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for all organizational levels
  • Proven success in repeatable business models including leading through change and turnaround initiatives
  • Advanced degree in business or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide overall vision, planning, direction, and control to assigned units within the district
  • Execute food and nutrition programs in K12 school districts focusing on growth, cost, productivity, and leadership
  • Lead large teams ensuring exceptional service, safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Manage financial performance including building revenue, budgeting, and maintaining P&L statements
  • Establish and maintain effective client and customer relationships to support new business and retention
  • Implement and maintain labor and financial initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, wage, and hour policies and regulations
