Job Description

The role being offered is that of a Resident District Manager at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day food service operations at the campus, including Resident Dining, Retail, and Catering services. The Resident District Manager is responsible for ensuring strategic leadership across all facets of the food service program while maintaining strong financial oversight and operational excellence. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who can manage multiple priorities and direct other leaders within a high-volume business environment. They must demonstrate strong communication, project management, and talent management skills.

The Resident District Manager plays a crucial role in supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce, aligning food service program goals with the client’s expectations and needs, and integrating fully within the client’s organizational framework. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years of management experience
  • minimum 5 years of functional experience in food service operations
  • ability to direct other leaders in a high-volume business
  • strong financial acumen and P&L background
