Resident Care Assistant ( RCA )

The role of the Resident Care Assistant (RCA) at Creekview is a full-time position with shifts primarily from Thursday to Monday in the PM. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21 to $21.50. The RCA plays a crucial role in supporting the daily personal care needs of residents, assisting them with activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, positioning, toileting, and exercising. The RCA also helps residents with mobility, provides meal service assistance in the dining room by taking orders, serving meals, and clearing tables, and organizes and coordinates daily activities to ensure residents’ personal and social needs are met.

Additional duties include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the resident units, managing personal laundry, changing bed linens, light housekeeping tasks including cleaning dishes and refrigerators, and taking out trash to provide a safe and clean environment. The RCA accompanies residents on excursions or walks, spending quality time engaging in activities that residents enjoy, fostering a supportive and compassionate atmosphere. The role demands reliability, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to follow duties assigned by supervisors with professionalism and care. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a health care or Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) environment, knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Completion of high school or equivalent education is required, along with maintaining current First Aid certification. Legal authorization to work in the United States is also mandatory for this position.
