We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Resident Care Aides (RCAs) to join our Laurelwood Assisted Living community, part of The Highlands at Pittsford. This role is central to the care team, as it involves direct interaction with residents, supporting their daily living activities and ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. Available positions include full-time RCA 2 roles working evening shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm, including every other weekend, comprising 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate ranges from $17.00 to $23.20 per hour, commensurate with experience and role level, reflecting our commitment to recognizing and rewarding the expertise and dedication of our staff.

As a Resident Care Aide at The Highlands at Pittsford, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day lives of our residents by providing hands-on personal care, including assistance with grooming, hygiene, medication administration, and gentle reminders to maintain residents' health routines. Beyond personal care, the role involves supervising and supporting other resident care staff, responding promptly and effectively to emergencies, and collaborating closely with healthcare providers and family members to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Attentiveness to residents' concerns and timely communication with appropriate personnel is vital in maintaining the high standards of care expected at The Highlands.

This position also entails participating in light housekeeping duties, such as washing and folding residents' laundry and maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, promoting a safe and pleasant living space. The Resident Care Aide is expected to adhere strictly to all community policies and procedures and to engage actively in ongoing training and staff meetings to stay current with best practices in senior care. Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and coworkers is essential in upholding the supportive and collaborative atmosphere of The Highlands.
