Job Description
LanePark Sidney is a growing senior living community proudly owned and operated by a dedicated team of seasoned leaders who have come together with the mission to create an unparalleled experience for seniors, their families, our associates, and the surrounding towns. At LanePark Sidney, personal connections and genuine care are at the heart of everything we do. Our focus is not just on being different or better but on being personal and real. We strongly believe that every individual matters, which is why our guiding principle is “Personal Matters.” We emphasize the importance of understanding the why behind every action and approach, ensuring heartfelt care and meaningful interactions that enrich the lives of our senior residents.
The company fosters a warm and supportive environment that encourages residents to thrive in a community that respects their dignity and individuality. The leadership team’s combined expertise and passion drive forward initiatives that prioritize resident well-being, staff empowerment, and community collaboration. LanePark Sidney consistently works toward enhancing the quality of life for every resident, making it a trusted place for seniors to call home.
The Resident Assistant role at LanePark Sidney is integral to upholding this vision of exceptional care and community spirit. This position involves assisting our senior residents with their daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and helping them safely move to and from meals and activities according to personalized service plans. The role is designed to empower residents to do as much of their own care as possible, promoting independence while providing necessary support. The Resident Assistant also plays a key role in serving meals and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration while respecting each resident's right to choose their own diet.
Beyond physical care, the Resident Assistant actively engages residents in leisure and social activities as outlined in the community’s activity calendar to foster social connections and friendship development. This position requires maintaining accurate and timely resident records in compliance with company policies, ensuring a safe and clean environment, performing general housekeeping and laundry duties, and encouraging teamwork among co-workers. The role necessitates a commitment to using approved cleaning solutions safely to maintain a hazard-free living space.
This position demands compassion, attentiveness, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with the senior population. The ability to maintain resident and employee confidentiality is paramount, alongside adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed, is also a crucial component of this role. LanePark Sidney offers a full-time 3rd shift with part-time 2nd shift opportunities available, with a preference for candidates with MC Dementia care experience. Immediate applicants are encouraged to apply in person or contact the wellness director to schedule an interview. This position represents an excellent opportunity for dedicated individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors within a supportive and mission-driven community.
