With a longstanding history of over 50 years, Leisure Care has continuously redefined and revolutionized the senior living experience, not only for its residents but for its dedicated employees as well. Recognized for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, Leisure Care has earned its place as a certified Great Place to Work and has been ranked among Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Aging Services. This accolade reflects the company’s unwavering devotion to creating a supportive, engaging, and inspiring workplace where employees are empowered to thrive and make a meaningful impact every day.

Leisure Care operates numerous communities designed to provide care-based services tailored to the unique needs of senior residents. The company’s workforce, comprised of passionate and skilled professionals, is considered the heart of each community, working together to deliver exceptional care that supports residents’ well-being. The organization’s culture emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and continuous innovation, which are integral to how they serve residents and their families.

The role of Resident Assistant at Leisure Care represents a celebrated opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering high-quality direct care to older adults. This position involves broad responsibilities that include assisting residents with all activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, among other personal care services. The Resident Assistant plays a crucial role in observing residents’ conditions closely and reporting any changes promptly to ensure timely intervention and sustained health. Additionally, the role extends to managing residents’ needs related to laundry and housekeeping services when necessary, making it a comprehensive caregiving position. The Resident Assistant’s dedication directly contributes to the comfort, safety, and happiness of the senior community.

Leisure Care values employees who bring experience, compassion, and a commitment to empowering older adults to live their best lives. Preferred candidates include those with current CNA certification or experience as a Home Health Aide, but the company welcomes anyone with a genuine desire to provide compassionate care and enrich the lives of seniors. The employment type is generally full-time, offering a stable career path with competitive wages and one of the industry’s most comprehensive benefits packages. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, early wage access, retirement savings plans, generous paid time off, holiday leaves, tuition assistance, various insurance options, and meal discounts.

Joining Leisure Care means being part of an award-winning team where work goes beyond simple duties — it’s about inspiring joy and purpose in the lives served every day while finding personal fulfillment and career growth. The company’s inclusive policies promote equal employment opportunities regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic. For residents in Florida, there is an additional requirement to comply with the state’s background screening process as part of the application and employment terms. This role is ideal for caregivers who want to make a significant difference and be part of a supportive, caring, and innovative community focused on senior living excellence.
