The role being offered is that of a caregiving professional who will play a critical part in supporting residents through various personal care and service responsibilities. This position demands exceptional customer service abilities, as the caregiver will interact frequently not only with residents but also with their families and guests. Key responsibilities include responding promptly to calls for assistance via the emergency pendant system, ensuring resident safety during emergencies, and helping with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as ambulating, transferring, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and assisting with meals. Additionally, the caregiver will participate in monitoring and supervising residents' personal hygiene, serving meals courteously in the dining area, and maintaining cleanliness within residents' apartments and communal spaces. Lauding clothing and linens is also part of the job function. The role requires strong physical capabilities, including the ability to lift substantial weights using proper body mechanics, demonstrating good mental and physical health, and maintaining a patient, compassionate demeanor.
