Job Description

Dove Healthcare is a reputable healthcare provider specializing in a wide range of senior care services including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, independent living, and memory care. Operating multiple facilities across various locations such as Barron, Bloomer, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Fennimore, Lodi, Osseo, Rice Lake, Spooner, St. Croix Falls, and Superior, Dove Healthcare has established itself as a trusted name in compassionate and quality eldercare. The organization is committed to excellence through disciplined leadership, mutual respect, and adherence to high standards to ensure the well-being and dignity of their residents. Their services span inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, post-hospital care, ventilator care, skilled nursing, long-term and end-of-life care. The company prides itself on being an innovative healthcare provider who partners with the community to support the unique needs of seniors in a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment.

The role of a Resident Assistant (Caregiver) at Dove Healthcare’s assisted living residences offers a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors. This position supports both experienced caregivers and individuals new to the field, providing comprehensive paid on-the-job training encompassing critical skills such as medication administration, standard precautions, fire safety, and emergency response including first aid and choking. Resident Assistants are entrusted with assisting residents with personal care, meals, medication management, activities participation, housekeeping, and general supervision. The role emphasizes working as part of a supportive team that values each member’s contributions and promotes a positive working environment where employees feel appreciated.

This position involves schedule flexibility with shifts available from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with expectations to work every other weekend, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations. Dove Healthcare welcomes both certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and non-licensed caregivers, with CNAs compensated at the CNA wage scale. The organization also offers a holistic wellness program, allowing employees to choose their own health insurance plans tailored to their family’s needs, along with company-paid life and AD&D insurance, dental and vision coverage, and diverse supplemental benefits such as short-term disability and critical illness coverage.

Additional highlights of the Resident Assistant role include a comprehensive benefits package covering paid time off, floating holidays, employee assistance programs, financial benefits like early wage access through DailyPay, childcare assistance, 401(k) plans with company match, financial planning resources, and referral bonuses. Career development is fostered through tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, continuing education, and career mapping to support long-term professional growth. Dove Healthcare’s commitment to hiring diversity ensures equal consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. This position is ideal for those seeking meaningful work in a supportive and values-driven environment dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
