Job Description

Aurora on France is an innovative senior living community situated in the heart of Edina, Minnesota, conveniently located near Highway 62 and France Avenue, with easy access via public transportation. This community is uniquely attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital, providing a seamless continuum of care that includes Transitional Care, Enhanced Care, and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Managed by Ebenezer, one of the most trusted organizations in senior care, Aurora on France is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality services that support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of its residents. Employees at Aurora on France benefit from a supportive work environment, beautiful walking paths for breaks, and numerous opportunities for professional growth within both the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and Assisted Living sectors.

The role of Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide (RA/HHA) at Aurora on France offers a meaningful opportunity to improve and maintain the quality of life of senior residents by providing personalized care tailored to their individual needs. This role does not require a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification unless the applicant is under 18 years old, making it accessible to a wide range of candidates passionate about caregiving and working with older adults. The position is based on a part-time schedule of 60 hours per two weeks, primarily during evening shifts, with responsibilities extending to every other weekend and holiday rotations. The hourly wage ranges from $20.98 to $30.31, reflecting factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.

As a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide, you will perform various duties including assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers or lifts. You will also provide health-related services under nurse supervision, including medication administration, glucose monitoring, and vital sign measurement such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse. Additional responsibilities may involve housekeeping tasks like laundry, meal service, and assisting with resident activities. This role is central to observing and reporting changes in residents' conditions to ensure timely medical attention.

This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to support older adults and their families. Candidates should be comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating patience, kindness, and adaptability. Working with a diverse elderly population offers an enriching experience to develop interpersonal and caregiving skills that can lead to further opportunities within the senior living or health care fields. Aurora on France emphasizes ongoing training and support to empower its staff in delivering excellent care.
