Job Description
4-K Housing is a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors by fostering a community grounded in their core values of Purpose, Acceptance, Thankfulness, and Harmony. The organization emphasizes walking the PATH of life together alongside their residents, promoting a culture of compassion, respect, and dignity. With the goal of helping residents lead happy, healthy lives while maximizing their independence, 4-K Housing focuses on building meaningful relationships, connections, and a profound sense of belonging which contributes to positive physical and emotional health outcomes. This holistic approach allows residents to enjoy a quality life that celebrates their individuality and promotes wellness in every aspect of their living experience.
The Stoney Brook of Hewitt community under the 4-K Housing umbrella is currently inviting enthusiastic and caring individuals to join as Part-Time and Full-Time Resident Assistants. This role is critical within the community as Resident Assistants are the frontline caregivers who ensure the daily needs of residents are met with kindness and professionalism. Assistants play an indispensable role in supporting residents’ activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, all while encouraging as much independence as possible. Beyond personal care, the position involves maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly environment, ensuring that residents feel comfortable and supported at all times.
The Resident Assistant at Stoney Brook of Hewitt will also maintain and update residents’ records diligently, documenting leisure activities, observations, and any changes in health or behavior swiftly to the appropriate supervisor. This documentation and observation are crucial for tailoring care plans to individual needs, ensuring optimal health outcomes. Shift options are flexible, including morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts, with a 4-on-2-off schedule and PRN availability, encompassing weekends and holidays. As a mission-driven facility, 4-K Housing not only offers competitive compensation but also extensive benefits that support employee wellness and professional growth, such as comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage with significant employer contributions, paid vacation, referral bonuses, and a structured retirement saving plan with matching contributions.
