Job Description

Rosewood Court Residential Care (RCRC) is a prominent care facility dedicated to providing exceptional residential services to seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Known for its compassionate approach and commitment to quality care, RCRC offers a supportive environment that prioritizes the dignity, respect, and well-being of its residents. The organization employs a team of skilled professionals who work closely with each resident to ensure their individual needs are met through personalized care plans and attentive service.

The Resident Assistant (RA) at Rosewood Court Residential Care plays a vital role within this caring community. This position is centered on providing personal care and necessary assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort and meeting their daily needs under the guidance of the Administrator, RN Consultant, and Residential Care Coordinator (RCC). The RA is expected to carefully follow each resident's service plan, contributing to the delivery of tailored, compassionate care. The role requires a blend of hands-on caregiving, attentive observation, teamwork, and strong communication skills to enhance the residents' quality of life.

The RA is responsible for various personal care tasks including dressing, nail and oral care, bathing, hair care, vital signs monitoring, peri care, toileting, and incontinence assistance. They also assist residents with transferring and positioning as needed. More than just physical care, the RA ensures that service plan interventions are properly read, understood, and implemented. They play an integral part in dining room service by ensuring residents arrive to meals on time, assisting with meal service, feeding when necessary, and monitoring dietary intake while noting any significant changes for review. Furthermore, the RA encourages participation in recreational and therapeutic activities organized by the Activity Director and advocates for resident wellness through physical exercise and leisure pursuits.

In addition to caregiving duties, the RA maintains order within residents' living spaces, promptly responds to call lights and alarms, and communicates any changes in residents' physical or mental conditions to appropriate supervisory staff. They keep detailed records per facility protocols and engage in collaborative communication with consultants, coworkers, and department heads to ensure comprehensive care. As part of continuous professional development, attendance at staff meetings, facility in-services, and completion of required monthly staff trainings are mandated.

The successful Resident Assistant demonstrates professionalism, a caring attitude, and a strong commitment to the philosophical values of Rosewood Court Residential Care. They serve as an advocate for the residents' needs while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to facility policies and procedures. Physical stamina and good health are necessary to fulfill the duties of this active role effectively. The RA is also expected to present a polished professional appearance, including wearing the proper uniform, name tag, and carrying required equipment each shift.

Rosewood Court Residential Care upholds an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy, welcoming applicants who bring diverse backgrounds to foster a rich caring environment. Working as a Resident Assistant at RCRC offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors through dedicated care and support.
