Job Description

Golden Years Homestead, part of the Greencroft Communities, is a respected assisted living community dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through compassionate care and well-rounded support programs. As a mission-driven organization, Golden Years Homestead focuses on creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents can thrive both socially and wellness-wise. With a strong reputation for fostering quality of life, the community supports aging individuals by promoting connection, engagement, and purposeful living. By prioritizing personal dignity and holistic well-being, Golden Years Homestead invests in activities and programs tailored to the varied interests and needs of its residents. This inclusive approach encourages seniors to remain active and socially involved, thereby enhancing their overall happiness and health.

The role of Life Enrichment Coordinator at Golden Years Homestead offers a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about serving older adults in an assisted living environment. This full-time position carries a competitive pay range of $13.18 to $16.83 per hour and primarily follows a 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays required to support community events and activities. Working closely with the Director of Life Enrichment, the coordinator will assist in organizing, managing, and facilitating a variety of engaging programs and events designed to enrich residents' daily lives.

In this role, the Life Enrichment Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of group activities that promote social interaction, wellness, and entertainment. These activities might include arts and crafts, exercise sessions, guest presentations, games, and special celebrations. The coordinator will assist in preparing and updating monthly activity schedules, ensuring the community calendar is comprehensive and resident-friendly. Building positive relationships with residents is a fundamental aspect of the job, encouraging participation and fostering a lively and inclusive atmosphere.

Additionally, the coordinator will help maintain necessary documentation and compliance records associated with these programs, aiding the team’s adherence to industry standards and regulations. The position requires organizational skills to manage activity materials, supplies, and program spaces, ensuring everything is readily available and well-maintained. Collaboration with the care team is also essential to tailor activities that meet individual resident interests and needs, promoting personalized engagement.

While the Life Enrichment Coordinator does not hold a supervisory role, they are encouraged to contribute creative ideas that can enhance resident experiences and deepen community involvement. This role suits someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who can work independently yet remain highly cooperative within a team setting. A basic level of computer proficiency is needed to support administrative tasks related to scheduling and documentation. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate any community-related activities that might involve transportation.

Candidates with prior experience in senior living, recreational programming, hospitality, or related fields will find this position particularly fitting. The opportunity comes with the reward of making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. Working at Golden Years Homestead means being part of a supportive, team-oriented environment that values creativity and fosters long-term employment stability within a caring community organization.
