Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, a prestigious brand under Marriott International, is renowned globally for setting the gold standard in luxury hospitality. With over 100 award-winning properties worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences that stay with guests long after their visit. Marriott International, the parent company, is a respected leader in the hotel and hospitality industry committed to equal employment opportunities, embracing diversity, and fostering an inclusive environment where employees from all backgrounds can thrive. This commitment is reflected in the company’s hiring practices and workplace culture, which values creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion.

Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a global team that upholds the highest standards of service excellence through its Gold Standards — a collection of principles including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. These standards guide every aspect of work life at The Ritz-Carlton and ensure that every guest receives gracious and thoughtful service. The organization champions professional growth and personal development, offering associates the chance to be proud of their work and to grow within a supportive and dynamic workplace.

The position of a Guest Services Representative at The Ritz-Carlton centers on delivering superior customer service by providing guests and residents with accurate information regarding hotel amenities, available services, and local attractions. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively answer guest inquiries, relay messages, and coordinate with various hotel departments such as Bellperson, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security/Loss Prevention. The representative acts as a vital link in ensuring guests’ needs are met promptly and satisfactorily, following up to confirm resolution of requests or issues.

In addition to guest engagement, maintaining the safety and security policies of the property is an integral part of this role. The Representative is responsible for reporting incidents such as theft and unsafe conditions, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff alike. Physical tasks such as standing or walking for extended periods and moving light objects are also required to perform the job effectively. Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to company standards are essential attributes of this position.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start a career in the hospitality sector, as no prior work or supervisory experience is required. Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent, demonstrating a foundational commitment to education. Those selected for this position will benefit from training designed to familiarize them with The Ritz-Carlton’s Gold Standards and culture. This job offers a meaningful pathway into the luxury hospitality industry with a globally respected employer.
