The position available is that of a Lobby Ambassador, a critical frontline role within The Ritz-Carlton’s residential properties designed to enhance the living experience of Residence owners and their guests. As a Lobby Ambassador, your primary responsibility will be to respond promptly and professionally to requests for visitor information, special arrangements, or services such as transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning. You will serve as the vital point of contact for owners and guests, addressing unique needs and coordinating with the appropriate service providers to ensure satisfaction. Your role also involves providing comprehensive information about the property’s amenities and nearby attractions, including special events and activities, enriching the owners’ and guests’ overall experience.
Security and access control are key facets of the Lobby Ambassador’s duties. You will be tasked with announcing visitors and contractors to owners before granting access, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the residential premises, and managing access through the key track system. You will handle a wide range of communications by answering, recording, and processing calls, messages, requests, and concerns efficiently. Coordinating with different departments such as Engineering, Bell Services, and Housekeeping to resolve issues promptly is critical in this position.
Additionally, assisting with owners’ reservation services, elevator scheduling for move-ins and move-outs, and managing Bell and valet services for vehicles will be part of your daily tasks. You will also perform the duties of a Lobby Ambassador by reviewing shift logs and daily memos, documenting essential information, and reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions to management. Maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies, and protecting proprietary information are essential. This role requires someone who can welcome and acknowledge all owners and guests according to The Ritz-Carlton’s high standards, anticipate their service needs compassionately, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents alike.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and at least one year of related work experience, preferably in luxury hospitality or residential service environments. Although no supervisory experience is required, a customer-focused attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously are vital. The position demands physical capabilities such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Job Duties
- Respond to Residence owners and their guests requests for visitor information special arrangements or services e.g. transportation reservations dry cleaning by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers
- Respond to special requests from Residence owners and their guests with unique needs and follow up to promote satisfaction
- Gather summarize and provide information to Residence owners and their guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities including special events and activities
- Announce all visitors contractors etc. to Residence owners before allowing them access and permit access only to authorized visitors and implement into the key track system
- Answer record and process all calls messages requests questions or concerns and contact appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve issues
- Assist with owners reservation services and scheduling of elevators for move in or move out
- Assist with Bell and valet services for owners when requesting for their vehicles
- Perform Lobby Ambassador tasks including reviewing shift logs daily memos documenting pertinent information and reporting incidents accidents injuries unsafe conditions
- Adhere to the highest standards of The Ritz-Carlton service excellence and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
