Marriott International, a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, owns and operates The Ritz-Carlton brand, renowned for setting the highest standards of luxury and personalized service. With more than 100 award-winning properties worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton Ladies and Gentlemen are dedicated to creating exceptional experiences that leave lasting memories for every guest. Known for its rich blend of culture, talent, and experiences, Marriott International fosters an inclusive environment where all associates are valued and celebrated, promoting diversity and non-discrimination across all levels of the company.
The Ritz-Carlton brand focuses on delivering impeccable service through its unique Gold Standards, which include the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. These standards cultivate a culture of excellence and compassion, empowering associates to be creative, thoughtful, and committed in their roles. Joining The Ritz-Carlton family means becoming part of a global team where you can do your best work, find your purpose, feel a strong sense of belonging, and develop into the best version of yourself.
The role available is Lobby Ambassador at The Ritz-Carlton, which involves serving as the primary point of contact for Residence owners and their guests, ensuring their needs and requests are handled with the utmost professionalism and care. The position requires responding promptly to requests such as visitor information, special arrangements like transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning, and any other services that contribute to an elevated guest experience. A Lobby Ambassador is expected to manage access control by announcing visitors and ensuring only authorized individuals gain entry, as well as maintaining accurate records using the key track system.
This role is pivotal in coordinating services among various departments like engineering, bell services, and housekeeping to ensure timely resolution of requests and concerns. Additionally, the Lobby Ambassador assists with scheduling elevator usage for move-ins and move-outs, manages bell and valet services, and handles incoming communications with professionalism. The position involves reviewing shift logs and daily memos to track incidents or hazards, reporting these to management, and actively participating in safety training. Maintaining confidentiality, company policies, and professional uniform standards is essential to this role.
Beyond the technical and logistical responsibilities, the Lobby Ambassador embodies the essence of The Ritz-Carlton's service excellence by welcoming and acknowledging guests warmly, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Strong communication skills, the ability to maintain positive working relationships, and a commitment to quality assurance are critical for success. The physical demands of the job include standing or walking for extended periods and performing light lifting.
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of related work experience. Prior supervisory experience is not required. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment and who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service will find this role fulfilling and rewarding. Working at The Ritz-Carlton is an opportunity to contribute to a globally respected brand known for hospitality excellence and to grow professionally in a supportive, inclusive atmosphere.
