Job Description
The Ritz-Carlton, part of the internationally renowned Marriott International portfolio, is a global luxury hotel brand recognized for its exceptional service and dedication to creating memorable guest experiences. With more than 100 award-winning hotels worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton is celebrated for its commitment to warmth, care, and attention to detail. The brand’s reputation as a leader in luxury hospitality stems from its unique culture that empowers employees to be creative, kind, and compassionate in their roles. This customer-centric approach defines the hallmark of The Ritz-Carlton service standards, often referred to as the “Gold Standards,” including the employee promise, credo, and service values that guide every team member in providing outstanding hospitality.
Located at 1123 23rd St NW, Washington, District of Columbia, this full-time position is part of the Rooms & Guest Services Operations department. The role offered is non-management and comes with a competitive hourly pay rate of $30.85. As a member of The Ritz-Carlton team, this position focuses on ensuring that the company’s stringent service excellence standards are met with kindness and attentiveness every day.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for responding promptly and professionally to the requests of Residence owners regarding visitor information, special services such as transportation, reservations, and laundry, and the facilitation of these services by either performing necessary procedures or identifying the appropriate vendors. The position demands excellent communication skills, as the individual will be announcing all visitors and contractors to Residence owners before allowing access and ensuring that only authorized visitors are permitted, which includes managing the key tracking system effectively.
The role also includes handling special requests from Residence owners and guests with special needs, ensuring their satisfaction by following up with them, and providing comprehensive information about the property and surrounding area, including special events and activities. Additionally, this position will involve managing incoming calls, messages, inquiries, and concerns, directing them to the relevant departments such as engineering, bell services, or housekeeping to resolve issues swiftly.
Embarking on the role of a Lobby Ambassador, the employee will contribute to maintaining daily logs and shift records, handle accident and safety reporting, and adhere to company policies concerning appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company assets. The position requires physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and to handle light physical tasks such as moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg).
The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel welcomed and valued. This role requires a commitment to creating positive guest experiences through exemplary service and teamwork. Employees will also have opportunities for career development, learning the luxury hospitality industry’s best practices, and becoming an integral part of a globally respected brand.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a world-class team where employees can perform their best work, fulfill their purpose, and evolve to their highest potential while delivering unmatched luxury experiences.
