Job Description
The Ritz-Carlton is a globally renowned luxury hotel brand known for setting the highest standards in guest service and hospitality. With more than 100 award-winning hotels worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton is celebrated for creating unforgettable experiences that guests remember long after their stay. As part of Marriott International’s impressive portfolio, this brand represents the pinnacle of luxury in the hospitality industry, continuously striving for service excellence and innovation. The company fosters a diverse and inclusive work environment where different cultures, talents, and experiences are celebrated and integrated into the organization’s core values. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are deeply embedded in the company culture, making it a preferred employer for passionate professionals seeking excellence in hospitality.
The current job opportunity is for a full-time, non-management position based in White Plains, New York, at 1 Renaissance Square. The preferred shift for this role is overnight, offering a competitive hourly wage between $31.83 and $32.93. This role falls under the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category and requires a dedicated individual who thrives in dynamic, guest-focused environments.
As a member of The Ritz-Carlton team, the successful candidate will ensure that the brand’s famous Gold Standards are consistently delivered with warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism. The Gold Standards form the foundation of The Ritz-Carlton’s service philosophy, guiding every action to exceed guest expectations and create memorable stays. This role involves acting as an ambassador of the lobby, assisting residents and guests by responding promptly to their inquiries and requests. Responsibilities include handling special services such as transportation, reservations, and laundry arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication and coordination with appropriate departments like engineering, housekeeping, and valet.
Additionally, the role entails controlling access to the property by announcing and verifying visitors and contractors before permitting entry, maintaining security through strict adherence to established protocols such as the key tracking system. The individual will also manage incoming calls, messages, and requests, ensuring they reach the right department for timely resolution. Providing detailed information about the property and surrounding area, including local events and activities, is a vital aspect of the job, enhancing the guests’ overall experience.
The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on treating each guest with genuine care and respect, so this position requires a person who can effectively communicate in a clear, professional manner while fostering positive relationships with guests, residents, and colleagues alike. The job demands standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and the ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Dependability, discretion, and a polished appearance are essential, as is compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with at least one year of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, who want to pursue a rewarding career in luxury hospitality. The Ritz-Carlton values employees who seek to be the best version of themselves, offering a workplace where creativity, kindness, and compassion are encouraged. Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a world-class team dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences that set new benchmarks in the hotel industry.
