This position is centered on managing and coordinating the activities of employees tasked with providing reservations and customer service. Compensation for this role is competitive, with an hourly wage of $31.60.

Job Requirements

  • 4 year degree in travel industry or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Ability to operate Windows software including spreadsheets and databases
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Highly organized
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Ability to manage and train team members
  • Strong analytical and forecasting abilities

Job Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in travel industry or closely related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to operate Windows software applications including spreadsheets, databases, word processing and essential job software
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist GM with budgeting, forecasting, and hiring, retaining and developing reservations and customer service employees and leaders
  • Manage reservation department
  • Manage systems that are set up within the reservations department to ensure accurate handling of phone calls
  • Track daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly statistics for analytical, budgeting and forecasting purposes
  • Maintain department approved quality assurance program including rates, deposits, property descriptions, activity tables and reservations letters
  • Input owner calendar information into system accurately and equalize rental nights for all owners
  • Receive contracts detailing room allotments and input into hotel computer system
  • Delegate training of clerks in taking reservations and operating computer terminals and printers
  • Manage reservation function to maintain highest possible room occupancy and daily rate through suggestive selling
  • Ensure acceptable service levels and abandon rate statistics
  • Cover shifts at Front Desk when needed
  • Ensure payment is taken on all prepaid reservations
  • Train GSA clerks on building reservations and checking availability
  • Perform other duties as assigned
