Job Description

This position serves as a critical leadership role within the hotel’s reservations department, responsible for managing and overseeing the reservations process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional guest service. The Reservations Leader will monitor and maintain group reservations and rooming lists, collaborate actively with various rooms departments, and optimize room sales through strategic inventory and rate management efforts. This role requires close attention to detail, especially when managing complex itinerary details such as airline manifests, cancellations, and reports.

The Reservations Leader will also play a key role in training new reservation agents, preparing detailed weekly reports about group pick-ups, and coordinating internal communications regarding reservation statuses. As a leader within the department, this individual will work cohesively with hotel management and other teams to support overall hotel success and guest satisfaction. This position involves an element of flexibility and cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring that the hotel maximizes its operational throughput and revenue while maintaining high standards of guest service.

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and proven experience working with group reservations and hotel reservation systems. Familiarity with Hyatt’s reservation systems and procedures is preferred but not mandatory. Job Duties

  • working with other rooms departments, checking room and room-type availability, to maximize room sales, yield and average room rate through upselling and other inventory and rate management initiatives
  • overseeing and assisting with the processing of individual and group reservations, rooming lists, and other reservations
  • ensuring accuracy of airline manifests, including loading, routing, cancellations, and reporting
  • working closely with other management personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests
  • monitoring and following up on group blocks and groups with no rooming lists
  • supervise, train, and develop agents
  • preparing and communicating a weekly report detailing pick-ups from groups
