Job Description

Our establishment operates within the esteemed Michigan Medicine Medical Campus, offering vital support services to patients and their families. As dedicated contractors, we play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and convenience of patients traveling to Michigan Medicine for medical care. We are committed to providing outstanding assistance, facilitating travel logistics, and connecting with supply partners to maintain a seamless experience for those we serve. Unlike being direct University of Michigan staff members, our specialized team focuses entirely on hospitality and administrative support functions, allowing patients and families to concentrate on their health and recovery without added stress.

This full-time role is perfect for an empathetic, detail-oriented individual who cherishes the opportunity to make a positive contribution to others' lives. Working Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the successful candidate will be immersed in a dynamic work environment that merges office responsibilities with personalized customer service. Daily duties include providing lodging options tailored to meet patient needs, making and confirming reservations, and coordinating insurance hotel reservations to ease financial concerns.

The position also encompasses strategic responsibilities such as marketing efforts aimed at promoting lodging services and building solid business relationships with accommodation suppliers. This role demands a professional approach and pride in delivering exceptional service, as it directly impacts patient experience and satisfaction. Candidates who bring experience from the hotel or office sectors will find this position aligned with their skills, with opportunities to further develop expertise in hospitality coordination or administrative support within a healthcare environment.

Our goal is to employ a team member who understands the nuances of the hospitality industry and can apply this understanding compassionately and efficiently. This role requires multitasking, organizational skills, and clear communication to ensure every interaction supports Michigan Medicine’s mission of patient-centered care. As part of our team, you’ll be contributing to a critical support service that enhances the overall healthcare journey for patients and families relocating or traveling for treatment.
