The Reservations and Sales Coordinator at Dream South Beach plays a vital role in representing the hotel to prospective and existing guests through telephone and email communications. This role requires a high level of professionalism, detailed knowledge of hotel accommodations, services, and local attractions to effectively meet and exceed guest expectations. The coordinator acts as an ambassador for the hotel, stimulating guest anticipation before arrival and ensuring a positive impression is made through every interaction. The position demands strong technical skills, including proficiency with reservation management software such as Opera PMS and sales techniques to optimize room sales and ancillary revenue generation. Duties include responding promptly to guest inquiries, managing reservations accurately, collaborating with various departments, and promoting hotel amenities to enhance the guest experience. Additionally, the coordinator supports the Director of Sales with site inspections and participates actively in revenue optimization efforts. This role is dynamic and multi-faceted, requiring excellent multitasking abilities and a customer-oriented mindset. Job Requirements

  • minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training in reservations or hospitality industry
  • must read, write and speak the english language fluently
  • experience with opera and reserve preferred
  • previous use of microsoft office with emphasis on outlook and excel
  • candidates with strong sales background in non-hospitality related field will be considered

Job Duties

  • represent dream south beach by answering phone calls and offering information on accommodations, restaurant and city-wide activities to meet guest needs, wants and expectations
  • assist callers by selling future room accommodations as well as assisting existing reservation inquiries via phone or email correspondence
  • ensure accuracy of reservation, recognize guests’ needs and requests, and properly communicate requests to appropriate departments
  • enter group rooming lists, build posting master accounts and ensure group routing is correct
  • maintain strong relationships and communications with management, sales, events, marketing, accounting, and operations teams
  • promote an understanding of revenue optimization concepts, ideas, and practices implemented by the director of revenue and reservations manager to better maximize the hotels revenue capabilities
  • assist the director of sales with site inspections when needed
