This position primarily involves managing guest accommodation bookings by effectively responding to inquiries via telephone, email, and internet channels. The agent will employ sales techniques to secure reservations and ensure every interaction aligns with the company’s established guest service standards as well as sustainability guidelines. The Reservations Agent plays a crucial role in setting the tone for a guest's experience right from the initial contact by providing accurate, timely information about hotel amenities, room availability, rates, transportation options, and local attractions. Additionally, this position includes troubleshooting to handle guest complaints tactfully and negotiating alternative solutions when necessary.\n\nIn this role, the Reservations Agent will be responsible for utilizing the computer reservation system efficiently to input and retrieve guest data. The role demands excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented attitude to promote HHM Hotels’ brand-specific marketing programs and deliver outstanding service. The work environment includes standing for extended periods and may require physical activities such as walking, lifting, bending, and other movements. Shifts may vary and include working on weekends and holidays to accommodate guest needs. Job Duties

  • Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner
  • respond to callers' inquiries and requests
  • respond to email and internet inquiries promptly and accurately
  • provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotel, room rates, and hotel amenities
  • assign reservations based on guest preferences and availability
  • provide confirmation number
  • input and retrieve data using the computer reservation system utilizing codes for efficiency
  • answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, airline partnerships, local attractions, directions, etc
  • communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested
  • handle complaints in a tactful manner and negotiate resolutions such as alternative accommodations when hotel is sold out
  • promote hotel and brand-specific marketing programs
  • follow sustainability guidelines and practices
  • practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
