Job Description
Hyatt is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its portfolio of luxury and full-service hotels. Hyatt's properties span across many countries, offering a variety of accommodations and services that cater to business and leisure travelers alike. With a commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, Hyatt maintains its reputation as a top destination for travelers seeking premium service and comfort. The company emphasizes a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and professional growth, providing employees with opportunities to develop their careers in a dynamic, guest-centered environment.
The Reservations/Sales Systems & Marketing Specialist position at Hyatt plays a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operation of the Reservations Department. This hybrid full-time role is designed to align with Hyatt's brand standards, corporate strategies, and the hotel’s revenue objectives. The specialist is entrusted with overseeing reservations operations, managing inventory control, coordinating room blocks, supporting forecasting activities, and facilitating group coordination while ensuring seamless guest communication. The role integrates responsibilities related to systems administration and marketing content management, focusing heavily on maximizing room revenue, occupancy, and guest satisfaction.
Working collaboratively with multiple departments such as Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Front Office, Accounting, the Global Contact Center, and other Rooms Division teams, the Reservations/Sales Systems & Marketing Specialist ensures that reservation processing is accurate and efficient, billing setups are correct, inventory is utilized strategically, and room allocations meet business needs. The role also guarantees the accuracy of digital content and maintains high standards of guest service excellence consistent with Hyatt’s prestigious brand identity.
Beyond its operational focus, this role requires attention to forecasting, financial administration, and comprehensive reporting. The specialist supports business evaluation initiatives, manages group master accounts in conjunction with Accounting, and produces insightful reservation and revenue performance reports. This analytical aspect helps inform strategic decision-making and contributes to the overall profitability of the hotel.
Technical and systems expertise is essential for this position. The specialist is responsible for administering several technology platforms and software systems, including HotSoS, ECC, Hyatt.com, CVENT, Wedding Pro, Sonifi, FourWinds, and other approved systems. They ensure accurate rate codes, contractual compliance, and smooth system performance while driving process improvements and technology implementations for operational efficiency.
The role also focuses on maintaining and nurturing strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners. This includes airline partners, tour operators, travel agencies, and corporate clients. Participation in operational meetings, event coordination, site visits, and VIP arrival preparations further enhances the guest experience and contributes to the success of group activities.
Marketing responsibilities are integrated within this position, with duties that involve creating and maintaining guest-facing marketing communications and collateral, supporting social media initiatives, coordinating photography, and managing digital content. The specialist plays a vital role in ensuring all marketing content aligns with Hyatt’s brand standards and supports revenue generation through effective marketing and guest engagement.
Managing reservation disruptions, last-minute changes, and operational issues are part of the decision-making and problem-resolution aspects associated with this role. The specialist is expected to assess business risks, escalate issues when necessary, and resolve guest concerns promptly while ensuring compliance with Hyatt’s policies and confidentiality requirements.
This role demands a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment with variable occupancy levels and shifting priorities. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is critical, along with a commitment to continuous improvement in guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth. Employees in this position are expected to participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives while maintaining accountability and results orientation within their scope of work.
