Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of hotel experience
  • proficiency with hotel reservation systems such as Reserve, Opera preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and special events
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • typing speed 45 wpm or higher
  • diplomatic problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills
  • strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and have strong organizational skills
  • able to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
  • passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
  • minimum 1 year of hotel experience
  • experience in reservations or front office preferred
  • familiarity with Hyatt reservation systems Reserve and Opera preferred
  • able to maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel data
  • good judgment in problem analysis and resolution
  • flexible to work holidays, weekends, and special events
  • typing speed of 45 wpm or higher

Job Duties

  • Ensure accuracy when making room reservations
  • recognize guests’ needs and requests and communicate to appropriate departments
  • promote understanding of revenue optimization concepts
  • generate and audit daily reservation reports
  • utilize sales training techniques for call quality
  • perform daily reservations tasks
  • handle internal and external guest situations professionally
  • make outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups
  • manage group reservations including rooming lists, blocking rooms, setting routing, inventory, and rates
  • review group cutoff dates
  • assist Sales and Events Team with group reservations
  • coordinate with Sales and Events Team on client requests and changes
