Job Description
Real World Canine is Reno's number one enrichment-based canine care facility, dedicated to providing premium care and individualized attention to high-energy dogs. The facility focuses on enrichment activities, structured problem-solving sessions, and attentive handler interaction to ensure that every dog leaves happier, healthier, and well-balanced. Their unique approach incorporates cage-free, 24/7 staffed boarding with trained professionals who administer medications and carefully follow strict protocols to meet each dog's specific needs. Real World Canine limits daily capacity so each dog can receive personalized care and attention, setting them apart from typical daycare and boarding options. This commitment to excellence and personalization has made them a trusted facility within the Reno community for owners who want the very best for their canine companions.
The role of Sales & Reservations Specialist at Real World Canine is a newly created position designed to expand the team and improve client engagement. This position is based on-site in Reno, NV, working 35 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during business hours with some flexibility. As a pivotal member of the team, the Specialist will manage incoming reservations, schedule visits and stays, and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings. They will act as a bridge between clients and the dog care team, coordinating with handlers and boarding staff to confirm availability and communicate the benefits of Real World Canine’s enrichment and cage-free boarding programs.
This position is ideal for someone who is confident in communication, experienced in customer service or front-desk roles, and has a strong sales orientation. Understanding dog behavior and being able to clearly explain how the facility’s programs cater to different temperaments is essential. The Specialist will build rapport with clients, listen carefully to their needs, and effectively match those to the proper services. They will also be comfortable working with phone and email sales, booking software, and maintaining clear documentation. Organized, reliable, and a team player, the Specialist collaborates across multiple departments to ensure seamless bookings and excellent client experience.
Employees in this role will receive industry-leading on-the-job training to become fluent in all services offered by Real World Canine, empowering them to provide knowledgeable and confident guidance to clients. The compensation package starts at $16.50 per hour plus commission opportunities based on sales performance, with an estimated monthly income ranging from $3,000 to $3,500 depending on results. Additional benefits include employee discounts, 401(k) matching, health, dental and vision insurance (eligibility per policy), paid training, and professional development assistance.
Overall, joining Real World Canine as a Sales & Reservations Specialist offers a unique opportunity to build a career in a growing, dog-focused company that prioritizes enrichment, customer satisfaction, and safety. Candidates passionate about dogs and motivated by sales goals will find this role rewarding and impactful. The position also gives the chance to directly influence business growth and contribute to the wellbeing of pets and their owners throughout the Reno community.
