Job Description

U-Haul is an established leader in the DIY moving and storage industry, dedicated to providing reliable and affordable equipment rental solutions to customers across the United States and Canada since 1945. The company prides itself on its rich history, beginning with the innovative concept by co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and Anna Mary Carty Shoen who recognized a wartime need for one-way, accessible moving equipment. Today, U-Haul continues to honor that legacy by offering a broad range of services, including truck and trailer rentals, storage units, and portable storage options like the U-Box. With a culture that promotes teamwork, customer service excellence, and personal as well as professional growth, U-Haul is dedicated to being an employer of choice within the transportation and moving industry.

U-Haul’s Reservation Manager role is tailored for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and enjoy contributing to a team dedicated to outstanding customer service and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Traffic Control Manager, this position centers around supporting customers, field team members, and U-Haul dealerships with the critical task of managing reservation placements and equipment distribution. As a Reservation Manager Agent, you will use your communication skills to assist with customer calls and coordinate efficient placement of moving equipment based on customer demand and inventory productivity. This role requires vigilance in reviewing operational reports to verify equipment availability and accuracy in reservation records. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work with U-Haul's portable storage product, the U-Box, adding to the variety and impact of your responsibilities.

U-Haul’s commitment to employee welfare is evident in the comprehensive benefits package, which includes health and prescription plans, dental and vision care, life insurance options, and various wellness programs. Employees gain access to perks such as career stability, advancement opportunities, reimbursement for health and fitness services, discounts on technology and travel, and valuable financial planning programs like 401(k) savings and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). U-Haul fosters an inclusive workplace by upholding equal opportunity employment standards, offering accommodations throughout the hiring process, and maintaining privacy and respect for applicant information.

This full-time position is ideal for energetic candidates who have a strong understanding of customer service principles, multitasking capabilities, and proficiency with office equipment such as multiline phones, Word, and email platforms. By joining U-Haul as a Reservation Manager Agent, you will not just manage reservations—you will be integral to balancing regional market inventory, ensuring customers have seamless access to moving equipment, and supporting the field teams that make U-Haul a trusted name in moving and storage solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a deep history and a bright future, where your work has an immediate impact and is valued on a daily basis.
