The Research Technician role on the Dose Formulation team located in Madison, WI is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about science and eager to contribute to preclinical drug development studies. Working the 2nd shift from 12:00 pm to 8:45 pm, the position includes a 9% shift differential. This role involves performing essential laboratory techniques that support the preparation of test materials, such as lab reagents, solutions, suspensions, and capsules, following stringent study protocols. Data accuracy and safety are paramount; thus, technicians record data meticulously in both digital and written formats while adhering to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards to maintain a safe and compliant lab environment.
As part of the Dose Formulation team, the Research Technician will collaborate closely with scientists and other technicians, ensuring the integrity of each study through precise formulation verification and proper sample disposition. This role offers hands-on experience and growth opportunities in laboratory procedures, study setup, data management, and effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or microbiology, combined with a strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for scientific research.
